I’m excited to be an “interspecies ambassador” and help promote more harmony between peeps & their pets. To help you decide whether animal communication is for you, here’s a short list of questions people often ask:
Frequently, when people decide to consult an animal communicator, there might be some “trouble in paradise,” and when they book a session, they want to tell me EVERYTHING about an animal companion’s health issues and “problematic behaviors.” I always ask people NOT to do this.
Too much information given upfront to an animal communicator actually interferes with the intuitive process AND can get in the way of what the animal wants to share with his/her human. So, please resist your tell-me-all-about-it tendencies.
Because animal communication is a telepathic connection and an energetic exchange of words, pictures and feelings, this special connection only requires my getting the human’s and animal’s permission to connect, then playing a little game of “energetic charades.” No pics are necessary and the animal can be sleeping in the next room. Yup. It’s kinda unbelievable and it’s pretty magical.
Please be aware, however, that you may book a session because you’re very concerned about your pet’s health, and he or she may not even give any indication of it being an issue.
(My deaf & blind doxie, for example, NEVER told other animal communicators about his disabilities when he was alive. It just wasn’t what he wanted to talk about. But, he always told them about the ways his soul was helping mine. This used to shock me, but I came to understand that his mission of helping me is what was most important to him, and when I fretted too much about his physical ailment, it didn’t help him.)
Sometimes, though, a household situation that’s bothering or worrying its humans isn’t even a subject the animal cares to discuss – unless it’s a behavior that we find out later may dovetail with a soul lesson the animal is working on with you.
Very frequently, the most profound sessions are when the animals talk about things going on in the household or with their relationships that the human didn’t even realize they could possibly be sensitive to or know or care about. That’s when the light bulb goes on and you realize how much deeper your relationship goes beyond kitty purrs and puppy dog kisses.
Although it is always difficult for us to witness situations where the human-animal relationship seems negative or unhealthy, either for the animal, human, or both – and we all see this everywhere we turn — the best we can do is offer compassion to all, and maybe some free advice.
The field of animal communication comes with a code of ethics that precludes animal communicators from communicating with anyone’s “pet” or animal companion without direct permission & PARTICIPATION from the human caretaker because they are a relationship together. Just as it is improper to “read” or communicate with a neighbor’s dog when passing them on the street, it would be unethical for me to schedule an animal communication session between you and someone else’s animal.
Because sending Reiki requires permission from the animal, a Reiki-Love session is a bit of a mini animal communication connection – sans all the fun stuff like your specific question & soul lesson information.
Most animals are receptive to receiving Reiki because they know their human wants to give them this energetic gift, but while some arrive in my “energetic office” excited at the prospect, others – especially animals who are quite sick – may be pessimistic about whether it “will do any good.” In the ways they convey their permission or feelings about receiving Reiki, animals frequently show certain aspects of their personality during the session, and I often receive images and intuitive information from them & about them during our time together. (Sometimes messages given during a Reiki Love session are quite entertaining and interesting to their human caretakers.) Afterward, I provide a brief report by phone or text about what transpired and what impressions came in from the animal during the session.
